For many travellers, a journey through southern Poland continues well beyond Krakow or the airport. The destination may be a cemetery, an ohel, a former Jewish community or a place connected with a Hasidic dynasty. Landliner arranges private transport from Krakow, Krakow Airport, Katowice and Katowice Airport, with pickup from the terminal, hotel or a chosen address.
We use the modern place name together with the Yiddish name still recognised by families and communities. A journey can focus on one destination or combine several stops in a single day or multi-day itinerary.
Lezajsk is one of Poland's best-known Hasidic pilgrimage destinations. The Jewish cemetery contains the ohel of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk. We can arrange a direct ride from Krakow or Katowice, or include Lizhensk in a longer route through the Subcarpathian region.
Nowy Sacz, widely known as Sanz or Tzanz, became an important centre of Hasidism associated with Rabbi Chaim Halberstam and the Sanz dynasty. The cemetery and ohel make it a natural destination on heritage journeys through Lesser Poland.
Bobowa is closely associated with the Bobov dynasty. It works well as a dedicated destination or as part of a route combining Krakow, Nowy Sacz and other towns in southern Poland.
Dynow, known as Dinov, is associated with Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech Shapira. The cemetery contains an ohel and the town is often combined with other stops in the Subcarpathian region.
Rymanow, or Rimanov, was an important Hasidic centre. Its Jewish cemetery contains ohels of tzaddikim and can be included in a route through the southern part of the region.
Ropczyce is also known as Ropshitz in Jewish sources and tradition. Its location makes it a practical stop between Krakow, Rzeszow and destinations further east.
Rzeszow, also known as Reisha or Raysha, can be a destination, an overnight stop or a base for continuing towards Lizhensk, Dinov and Shinova.
Sieniawa is known in Yiddish as Shinova or Shenova. It can be combined naturally with Lezajsk, Lancut and Rzeszow on a longer itinerary.
Lancut has a preserved synagogue and Jewish cemeteries. It can be visited on its own or included in a route towards Rzeszow and Lezajsk.
Your driver can meet you after landing or collect you from a hotel in Krakow. For multi-stop journeys we can agree the order of visits, waiting time and the final destination before travel.
Katowice Airport can be a convenient starting point when the flight schedule works better for your group. From Pyrzowice, the journey can continue directly east without first travelling into Krakow.
